FAQ

Why did I chose to adopt?

I have chosen to adopt a baby because it is something that I feel in my heart is the right path for me to grow my family.  After countless unsuccessful infertility treatments, I realized that I was not growing my family in the manner in which God was directing me. Adoption is something very close to my heart as my mother was adopted shortly after her birth as well as several cousins so it is fitting that I would grow my family through adoption as well.

How can you help? It's easy!

Over the past several months, I have been asking God to break my heart for the things that break His, to challenge me to step away from the ordinary and to open my heart, hands, and abundance to God's calling to continue to grow my family. Through this process my eyes were opened and my heart broken for the millions of orphans worldwide. As I prayed, I began to feel God order my steps towards adoption. My steps are ordered by the Lord. Psalm 37:23

I am currently in the process of adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia. After much prayer (Samuel 1:27), I have selected a wonderful agency to work with called, A Love Beyond Borders. The entire process will take approximately 18 months. This will be a journey of faith each step of the way to bring her home. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

My greatest need is financial, as my adoption will cost nearly $30,000. My adoption expenses include everything from preparing documents, agency fees, translation services for documents. government fees, medical fees, orphanage fees, and travel expenses. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. Matthew 7:7

I am greatly depending on family and friends to help make this adoption possible. Therefore, I would like to extend an invitation to you and your family (and friends) to joyfully partner with me financially to help bring my daughter home. While not everyone is called to adopt a child, I believe (and hope!) many will join me on this journey to bring my daughter home. Remember, it takes a village to raise a child! You are the helper of the fatherless. You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause your ear to hear, to do justice to the fatherless and oppressed. Psalms 10:14, 17
